Disc or hernia problems

A hernia is normally a further development of a previously existing disc "protrusion", a condition in which the outermost layers of the disc ring are still intact, but can bulge when the disc is under pressure. While a hernia is a complicated problem, it is a reason that a patient should consider chiropractic before choosing surgery. Some disc problems need surgery but many don’t. If we can’t get that problem straight within a couple of weeks, we will make appropriate referrals, such as to a neurosurgeon to do something more invasive.
